Which one is right for you?

Deciding which Cob GP saddle is right for you will depend what you are looking to do with your horse. Are you looking for a straighter cut saddle to focus on your schooling, or a more forward cut saddle to go jumping and galloping across the countryside? What width gullet does your horse need? Some go from a narrow, whilst others start at Extra Wide, some go up to 4XW, whilst others go to 2XW.

You should also consider the seat size your horse can take. Many people assume that due to their stockiness, Cob types can carry more weight and larger riders. However, Cob types often have very short saddle placement areas. Therefore it is vital that you do not get a saddle too large for your horses back.

You can learn more about saddle size and fit issues in our online Recognising Saddle Fit Issues course.

Sell an adjustable Cob Saddle

If you are looking to sell a cob saddle, get in touch with us by completing this short form and our quotes team will get you a quote within 24 hours.

*6 month soundness warranty is provided on all second hand saddles. Saddles are sold sound, and we expect a saddle with an average amount of use to have many years of use. Warranty is only valid on saddles which have been well cared for, and maintained by the purchaser, and does not include accidental damage, fire, or theft. Any alterations made by a saddle fitter or owner will deem the warranty invalid as the person who has made such changes is responsible for the safety of the saddle.
**Guaranteed buy back price is offered on all saddles within 9 months of the original purchase date. The price offered is 20% less the purchase price of second hand saddles, and 35% less the purchase price of new saddles. The guaranteed buy back price is also condition dependent, and the saddle must be in a comparable condition to guarantee the price. The Guaranteed buy back price is only available to UK mainland clients.
