Part Exchange - How it works here at The Saddle Bank

In this article we shall be discussing all about part exchanges, how to go about part ex-ing your saddle, what it entails and the steps you need to take.

There are many reasons you might want to consider doing a Part Ex. You may have a new horse that your old saddle doesn't fit, or maybe you are changing discipline and need to swap a saddle from your dressage days that isn't suitable for the adrenaline junkie eventer lifestyle!

Whatever the reason here at The Saddle Bank we want to you to have the right saddle for your horse and you.

So your old saddle isn't suitable now, what do you do?

This is the first step to part exchanging your saddle! It involves three simple steps;

Step 1:

Take pictures of your saddle from all angles. Make sure it is in good lighting and you take pictures showing an accurate condition of your saddle and any flaws seen. If your saddle has a serial number/stamp a picture of this is great as well!

Step 2:

Fill in our Sell a Saddle form on the link here! Include any information that is revelant to your saddle as well as if you have seen another saddle on our website you would be interested in saddle swapping with to be in your tack room! Don't worry if you haven't found your next saddle yet!

Step 3:

Submit the form and our quotes team will get back to you as soon as they can!

Psst. whilst you wait for your personal quote to drop into you inbox why not check out our vast range of saddles here... you never know your dream saddle is probably in our tackroom waiting for you!

You've found your dream saddle on The Saddle Bank website... what next?

You've found your dream saddle on our website and you've had your quote from us? Well there are two options when it comes it Part Exchanging here at The Saddle Bank!

Option 1;

This is the more popular option we find here at TSB HQhttps://www.youtube.com/@thesaddlebank
With option 1 all you need to do is purchase the saddle you are wanting to try on the website as normal.

Our super team will get it boxed, dispatched and delivered to your door on the delivery date of your choice. Once you and your saddle fitter are happy that the saddle is right for you and your horse, contact our friendly team to let them know you are wanting to get your PX saddle collected and they will get the courier booked! All you need to do is box your saddle up and have it ready for the courier!

Once your PX saddle had arrived with us we will transfer the quoted part exchange amount to you and you are ready to ride in your new saddle!

With this option it means you aren't without a saddle and can get riding in your new saddle straight away, without having to worry about the stress and timewasters of selling your saddle privately and then hoping your dream saddle is still in our tackroom waiting for you.

Don't forget you could also finance part or all of your new saddle until your PX one has arrived with us, read about finance here

Option 2

The second PX offer we can do is that you pay the difference between your new saddle and the saddle you are swapping in, plus the delivery to you and any bar swaps or accessories you need to complete your tack.

We would then arrange the courier to collect the part exchange saddle so all you need to do is box it up!

Once it has arrived at The Saddle Bank HQ we will dispatch your new saddle to you read y for you to ride.

With this option it does unfortuantely leave you saddle-less for a couple of days and if you find during your 5 day UK trial the saddle isn't right for you or your horse we wouldn't be able to return your PX saddle to you, we would of course refund the PX value in with your refund as per our trial policy.

Once you have read this blog, filled in our Sell a Saddle form and found your dream saddle on our website... all there is left to do is box your old saddle up and enjoy riding in your new one!

If you are wondering how to box your PX saddle simply have a read of this blog all about it!
