What are stirrup webbers?

Stirrup webbers also known as webbers or mono stirrup leathers are a revolutionary form of stirrup strap for riders who love that close contact feel of removing any bulk between horse and rider. Webbers remove the feel of the stirrup buckle under their thigh, making them a much more comfortable choice.

Instead of fastening with a buckle at the stirrup bar and having excess stirrup leather to tuck in to the keeper, stirrup webbers are designed with a loop at the top of the webber that hooks onto the stirrup bar and then are adjusted and fasted above your stirrup iron with a buckle or T-Bar fastening.

Stirrup webbers can be made from either leather or synthetic materials.

Without the buckle and bulk of a traditional stirrup leather you may also notice a reduced amount of wear seen on the skirt of your saddle.

There are a few brands that produce stirrup webbers or mono webbers, keep reading to find to find out more.

Bliss Dressage Mono Webbers

These Mono Stirrup leathers from Bliss of London are handmade in the UK from super soft premium hide that you find on their saddles and girths.

Whatever level you ride at these mono leathers/webbers are fabulous to reduce the bulk under your leg due to them being a single leather strap. The buckle cover for the stainless steel buckle features the signature Triquetra Logo.

The Bliss Dressage Mono Webbers are easy to take on and off the saddle without the faff of undoing the buckle especially if you ride in multiple saddles. The reinforced webbing in them also eliminates the risk of the leathers stretching which can cause strain on your saddle and therefore your horses back.

The Bliss Mono Webbers are designed to only be used when doing flat work or dressage and hacking, they are advised not to be used when doing any form of jumping.
